About Me
I am currently studying Theatre Arts Design at Wimbledon College of Art, University of the Arts London. I have several specialised skills to better his design work.I am interested in immersive theater and promenade theater, and my work in theater design includes both conventional proscenium staging and experimental theater design. My goal is to push the limits of the audience-performer dynamic and investigate the potential of performance design. I'm enthusiastic about examining the nuanced interactions and deep emotional connections that exist between individuals, and I like to watch the tales that surround me and get inspiration for my designs from them. The diversity of my identity adds fresh vitality and viewpoints to my work, and as an international student from China, I am particularly interested in studying the subject of cross-cultural theater adaptation and cultural disparities. In addition, I create little models, with a focus on utilizing various mediums to convey narratives via models.
I am inspired and encouraged to say that I am a spectator of people and their lives. From a very young age, I have been sensitive to people’s emotions. I would study facial expressions and be encapsulated by the way a person sits on a bench as time passes them by. I like to observe. Studying clothing, movement and emotional interactions confused me as a child as I couldn’t identify reasons for why I was so deeply invested in witnessing other people’s lives. I felt unable to express why or what I was feeling, yet knew I was behaving like this for a reason. Without any clear concept of what this meant, by the time I was immersed in primary school, my dream was to become a designer. I was so proud that I was the only one whose future aspirations were so clear and defined; I felt as though I was unique and individual and coveted this awareness.
